  • Retail Store: Sells video game hardware, software, and accessories through an e-commerce platform and dark store model, with plans for future franchising.
  • Gift Cards & Vouchers: Provides digital content distribution via a q-commerce platform serving Africa.
  • Fan Engagement Agency: Uses video games to create immersive experiences that bring people together and resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Esports Academy: Incorporates esports into education to promote digital literacy, career opportunities, and essential STEM and soft skills.

Job Description:

The Sales Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving sales, managing customer interactions, and ensuring smooth operational workflows. While prior knowledge of the video game industry is not required, a passion for learning and a proactive attitude will be key to excelling in this role. This position requires a versatile individual with skills in tele-sales, virtual assistance, administration, sales & marketing, customer service and support.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Sales and Customer Engagement:

  • Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities to meet and exceed targets.
  • Manage diverse customer interactions across in-store, online, and virtual channels.
  • Provide personalized recommendations to customers based on their preferences and needs.
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless shopping experience.

Administration:

  • Maintain accurate records for supplier procurement and through out the customer sales journey.
  • Collaborate with the support team to handle administrative tasks such as invoicing, receipting, credit notes, and delivery tracking
  • Ensure accurate time tracking and maintain effective time management during working hours

Customer Service and Support:

  • Build strong relationships with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
  • Respond promptly to customer feedback, addressing concerns and improving satisfaction.
  • Implement follow-up mechanisms for successful leads to gather reviews and feedback.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Streamline operational workflows to enhance team productivity.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment on goals and strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions.

Sales and Marketing:

  • Develop creative mechanisms to promote products and increase brand visibility.
  • Leverage social media and digital marketing tools to reach potential customers.
  • Self analysis of market trends and customer insights to refine marketing strategies.

CRM Tools Operation:

  • Utilize CRM tools to manage and track customer interactions, sales data, and leads.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of customer information and sales activities.
  • Generate reports and insights from CRM data to support decision-making and strategy.

Requirements:

Qualifications: Certification on Marketing, Sales, or a related field.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in sales, customer service, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in virtual assistant tools.
  • Experience with CRM tools and their operation.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage diverse customer interactions effectively.
  • Experience in streamlining operations to enhance efficiency.

Engagement Framework:

  • Date to commence: upon confirmation.
  • Monthly Retainer: The specifics will be determined in a one-on-one meeting, tailored to your level of experience in the exact Sales Consultant role. Knowledge of the video game industry and/or retail experience is an added advantage.
  1. 0 - 1 Years Experience: KES 30K - KES 35K/mo Net Pay
  2. 2 - 3 Years Experience: KES 40K - KES 45K/mo Net Pay
  3. 4 - 6 Years Experience: KES 50K - KES 55K/mo Net Pay
  • Probation: 1 Month
  • Onsite Engagement: At Vivid Gold HQ, located along the Northern By-Pass, Nairobi, Kenya.
  • Proposed Full-time Hours: Monday – Saturday [8 Hours]
  1. Morning: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
  2. Break: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
  3. Afternoon: 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
  • Half-day Hours: 11:00 am - 4:00 pm [National Holidays]
  • Off Days: Sunday

Note: If event engagements take place on off days, the off day will be rescheduled to the first day of the week.

  • Compliance: Strict adherence to Kenya's statutory employment regulations and entitlements.
  • Employment Type: Permanent, with a 30-day notice period for termination by either party.

Additional Perks:

  • Incentives/Commissions: Based on achieving monthly targets.
  • Events Allowance: Ksh 2,500 per day (local logistics provided).
  • Birthday Leave: Enjoy a paid day off on your birthday.
  • Paid Overtime: Computed based on your monthly retainer and accurately tracked hours.
  • Mandatory Annual Leave: 28 days per year.
