  • Fan Engagement Agency: Uses video games to create immersive experiences that bring people together and resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Esports Academy: Incorporates esports into education to promote digital literacy, career opportunities, and essential STEM and soft skills.

A community manager:

  • Serves as the bridge between the brand and its audience.
  • Represents the brand's voice, tone, and moderation across community support, content creation and distribution, and phygital engagement, fostering trust and presence both online and offline.
  • Adds a human touch to the brand’s online presence, valued by both consumers and the company.
  • Shapes the brand’s personality and builds consumer trust, driving increased awareness and enhanced company performance, making it a vital part of any marketing strategy.

Role Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver impactful, high-quality gaming content that aligns with the brand’s tone and engages the audience. This includes creating content across various formats—scripting, report-style videos, editorial writing, direct communication, live streaming and on-demand multimedia—tailored to the brand’s audience personas and commercial goals.

  • Providing Gaming Industry Insights (news, trends, and updates)
  • Live Streaming & Broadcasting
  • Spearheading Promotions, Campaigns, and Activations (in-house or in collaboration with partners)
  • Manage public relations activities, addressing both positive and negative situations.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring content is tailored to the brand's ideal audience, not just aiming for larger reach.
  • Ensure all messaging is prompt, consistent with the brand, and empathetic to build a loyal and delighted community.

Delivery strategy:

  • Should offer value and be helpful, without being overly assertive.
  • Should align with the brand’s core values.
  • Should be optimized with relevant keywords to boost visibility.
  • Should be engaging, encouraging shares and backlinks.
  • Should establish an emotional connection with the audience.
  • Should inspire the audience to take action.

Content strategy:

Plan, script, create, edit, and publish content, leveraging available resources to deliver high-quality content quickly and efficiently and on time. This will involve the following approaches:

  • Research: Identify and understand customer profiles while defining content goals.
  • Ideation: Conduct keyword research, trend analysis, competitor analysis, and brainstorming content concepts.
  • Creation: Develop content calendars, establish style and tone-of-voice guidelines, and optimize content for visibility and engagement.

 Role Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of the video game industry, including content creation, copywriting, or marketing.
  • Strong communication skills, both online and in-person.
  • Passion for building and implementing long-term community-focused content strategies.
  • Proficient in social media tools to drive interest.
  • Empathy, good listening skills, and adaptability to promote positive brand impressions.
  • Actively research and stay updated on industry trends and hot topics.
  • Ability to set goals and objectives, balancing passion, while aligning with company revenue goals.
  • Foster inclusivity through clear communication and uphold behavior guidelines on and off duty.
  • Flexibility to adapt to new industry expectations, gaming industry is constantly evolving.
  • Strong affinity for connecting with audiences and building relationships.
  • Use content marketing to foster valuable discussions, boost engagement, and enhance brand sentiment.

  1. Content Creation: Producing videos for social platforms
  2. Video Editing: Using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro for video editing.
  3. Storytelling: Creating vlogs, documentaries, or short form content (reels, stories etc)
  4. Trends & Challenges: Participating in video challenges or integrating new trends.
  5. Learning & Experimentation: Exploring new tools, techniques, styles or formats.
  6. Live Streaming: Hosting interactive streams for gaming or tutorials.
  7. Partnerships: Working with other creators on projects.
  8. Community Engagement: Hosting capability with a strong on-camera presence and comfort with live broadcasting.
  • Resilience to handle both positive and challenging community interactions.
  • Build trust with higher-ups, minimize micromanagement, and ensure your judgment and decision-making are valued and relied upon, reflecting your commitment in the task at hand.
  • Balance spontaneous content opportunities with pre-planned content schedules.
  • Attribute: Females are welcome to apply, but preference will be given to males under 35 years of age.
  • Must be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
  • Open to local, regional, or international travel.
  • Certification in Media, Arts, Communication or a related field.

Engagement Framework:

  • Date to commence: immediately, upon confirmation from February 2025.
  • Monthly Retainer: The specifics will be determined in a one-on-one meeting, tailored to your level of experience in the exact Community Management role.
  1. 0 - 1 Years Experience: KES 30K - KES 50K/mo Base Pay
  2. 2 - 3 Years Experience: KES 56K - KES 85K/mo Base Pay
  3. 4 - 6 Years Experience: KES 92K - KES 113K/mo Base Pay
  • Probation: None
  • Onsite Engagement: At Vivid Gold HQ, located along the Northern By-Pass, Nairobi, Kenya.
  • Proposed Full-time Hours: Monday – Friday [6 Hours]
  1. Mid-Morning: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
  2. Break: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
  3. Late Afternoon: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Note: Hours can be adjusted based on your availability.

  • Half-day Hours: 11:00 am - 4:00 pm [National Holidays]
  • Off Days: Saturday and Sunday

Note: If event engagements take place on off days, the off day will be rescheduled to the first day / (s) of the week.

  • Compliance: Strict adherence to Kenya's statutory employment regulations and entitlements.
  • Employment Type: Permanent, with a 30-day notice period for termination by either party.

  • Collaboration: A collaborative framework for content that is shot, edited, and features you on-camera, with Vivid Gold serving as the primary publisher.
  1. Enable content collaboration with your account profile across social media platforms that support collaborative features.
  2. Develop a revenue sharing model leveraging multiple streams generated from Vivid Gold monetized account profiles, including ads, live streaming, sponsorships, subscriptions, affiliate marketing, creator funds, among others.
  • Events Allowance:
  1. Local events: Ksh 2,500 per day (local logistics provided).
  2. International events: $20 per day (B&B accommodation and international logistics provided)
  • On Demand Multimedia Production: Involves the creation of online digital courses, as needed, priced at $1 per minute of video.
  • Content Equipment: Provided in-house.
  • Learning & Development: Opportunities to attend courses, conferences, and training seminars.
  • Birthday Leave: Enjoy a paid day off on your birthday.
  • Paid Overtime: Computed based on your monthly retainer and accurately tracked hours.
  • Mandatory Annual Leave: 28 days per year.
